All new boilers from Alpha come with a standard warranty or guarantee to give you peace of mind that you’re covered should you experience a fault with your boiler. The warranty period varies between models and will depend on which combi, system or regular boiler you choose for your property. Your Alpha boiler warranty comes with terms and conditions, which you must meet to keep it valid and avoid costly repairs, so you need to read them carefully.
This guide should help you discover everything you need to know about an Alpha boiler warranty.
What is Covered by the Standard Alpha Boiler Warranty?
The warranty covers any manufacturing defects and guarantees against faulty materials or workmanship from the installation date. Alpha will exchange or repair any defective components free of charge during the warranty period if Alpha Heating Innovation or one of its agents completes the work. That means Alpha will not accept invoices for repairs carried out by third parties.
The Length of the Alpha Boiler Warranty Period
Alpha boiler warranties vary between 5 and 10 years. The E-Tec Plus Combi is currently the only Alpha boiler that comes with a 10-year warranty. All other Alpha boiler models have a warranty period of 7 years, except the ProTec Plus System boiler, which comes with a 5-year warranty. When your boiler is no longer under warranty, you can protect yourself from unexpected repair costs by taking out an Alpha service and breakdown plan.
Alpha Boiler Warranty Terms and Conditions
You must comply with the terms and conditions that come with an Alpha boiler warranty throughout the validation period. Otherwise, the boiler warranty will not be valid, and you will have to pay for any repairs. You can find the whole list of terms and conditions on the manufacturer’s website.
Here are just some of the Alpha boiler warranty terms and conditions to keep in mind:
- Your boiler must be installed by a Gas Safe registered installer.
- You must get your Alpha boiler serviced annually.
- The warranty does not cover repairs to boilers that have not been installed and commissioned correctly.
- The warranty does not cover any damage caused by defects or failures in the heating system that are outside of the boiler itself.
- The warranty does not cover installations on non-static boats or faults caused by an inadequate supply of electricity, gas or water to the property.
If you experience a problem with your Alpha boiler, you must contact your installer as the fault may not be related to the boiler. Should your installer confirm that the boiler is faulty and they cannot carry out repairs because of a component failure, you have to call Alpha’s customer service technical helpline for advice or help with booking an engineer’s visit.
How to Register Your Alpha Boiler Warranty
You have to register your boiler with Alpha online via the guarantee registration page on its website within 30 days of installation. The online boiler guarantee registration form requires you to share your personal details, product details, installation details and installer details. All of the information you submit using the online form is for use by Alpha only.
