Ideal Boiler: Prices, Reviews and Boiler Ranges

Ideal boiler prices range between £625 and £2,200 depending on your requirements. This includes VAT but excludes the installation fee.

Ideal has developed reliable boilers to suit the needs of most UK homes for over 100 years. During the 1980s, Ideal introduced high-efficiency technology into the home heating market, which effectively changed the way in which boilers were manufactured. All Ideal combi, system and heat only boilers have been designed with customers in mind and are meticulously tested to ensure endurance and reliability. Not only that, but the brand offers a competitively priced selection of boilers that range between £625 and £2,200.

Ideal Combi Boiler Range – Award Winning, Efficient & Reliable

Designed to improve energy efficiency at home, Ideal combi boilers are available in a selection of styles and sizes to suit most domestic situations. Each offering in the range is quiet, compact in size and includes built-in frost protection. These boilers also feature simple controls and a user-friendly display to ensure heating and hot water can be managed with ease. What’s more, all Ideal combi boilers come with a manufacturer warranty, ranging between 2 and 10-years.

In terms of pricing, Ideal combi boilers vary depending on your homes hot water and heating demands. For example, the Vogue Combi Boiler has an average price of £943, the Logic+ Combi boiler is priced at around £952, while the Logic Combi boiler is a little cheaper at £749.

Ideal System Boilers – Easy to Install and Recommended by Good Housekeeping Magazine

Ideal system boilers use a central heating expansion vessel which usually resides in an airing cupboard. No expansion tank is required in the roof as the cylinder and boiler combination allows you to run mains pressure hot water from more than one outlet at a time.

Logic system boilers are simple and reliable and are available with a variety of outputs (15, 18, 24 and 30kW). They are a dependable solution for both new and replacement installations. Logic system boilers come with a 2-year parts and labour warranty and have an average price of £782

Logic+ system boilers are similar to Logic system boilers but come with a 7-year parts and labour warranty. The Logic+ system boiler range has an average price of £827.

The Vogue system boiler range is Ideal’s premium system boiler range which showcases unique boiler innovation. All models in the Vogue system boiler range deliver excellent performance and reliability, and utilise modern technology with premium components. Ideal Vogue system boilers have an average price of £1,037.

Why Choose Ideal?

Having been a key player in the UK heating market for over a century, Ideal has had plenty of time to learn what domestic and commercial customers really want from their boilers. The brand also knows that consumers demand good value for money, which is why Ideal manufactures affordable combi, system and heat only boilers that come with great warranties. But there’s more. Ideal has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and its Logic, Logic+ and Vogue boilers have been awarded Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended status.

Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended

Not only did Ideal’s Logic, Logic+ and Vogue boiler ranges become Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended in 2013 but these boilers were awarded the same status in 2017 and 2018. Good Housekeeping asked consumers to review their Ideal boilers and give feedback on performance, ease of use, overall acceptability and the likelihood of buying or recommend the boiler. The reviewers came back with some extremely positive comments, with 95% rating their boiler as being excellent or very good and 98% saying that their boiler provides plenty of hot water based on the size of their family.

Good Which? Score

A recent Which? survey revealed that Ideal boilers are reliable and well-liked by their owners and heating engineers. Ideal achieved an overall score of 69%, which is much higher than some other boiler brands but a bit lower than those deemed the most expensive. Some of the plus points include their affordable price, ease of servicing and availability of parts and spares. The brand got 4 out of 5 for reliability and engineer recommendation as well.

Below, you can find the brand data results for Ideal boilers, which we sourced from the Which? website.

Ideal Boiler Problems and Repairs

Ideal boilers tend to be pretty reliable, but like any other type of appliance, problems can sometimes occur when you least expect. While there are lots of different issues that can prevent your boiler from working properly, some problems are more common than others when it comes to Ideal boilers but not all faults will require an engineer to visit your home. We’ve written a guide that outlines some of the most Common Ideal Boiler Problems and Repairs, as well as tips on what you’ll need to do next to get your boiler working again.

Ideal Boiler Fault Codes

Sometimes your Ideal boiler may show a fault code or fault message when a problem presents itself. The fault codes that appear are meant to help you identify issues and help your engineer to get to the bottom of common Ideal boiler problems. The majority of Ideal boiler faulty codes will begin with the letter F or L but some may appear as a written message, depending on which Ideal boiler model you have installed in your home. If your Ideal boiler is not working as it should and it is displaying a fault code or error message and you want to know what it means, our guide to Ideal Boiler Fault Codes will explain everything you need to know.

Ideal Boiler Cover

Do not have a new boiler fitted during November to March. You have to get the boiler serviced on a yearly basis in order to comply with the warranty terms and conditions. Ideal do not do standard servicing of boilers during these months. They are supposed to send a reminder out when the service is due but I have had to chase them up every year.
