Intergas Boilers: Prices, Reviews and Benefits

Intergas Heating is a Dutch boiler manufacturer with over 50 years’ experience in developing gas boilers to suit most applications. The brand is dedicated to producing reliable high-efficiency models while lowering emissions and reducing energy bills for end-users. Every Intergas boiler features a two-in-one heat exchanger to optimise efficiency and to ensure each boiler uses less fuel to keep homes warm and comfortable. Intergas says its boilers routinely lower emissions by 20% and save up to a further 5% off energy bills over all other condensing boilers in the UK.

Intergas Combi Range – With Energy-Saving Features

Gas-fired combi boilers from Intergas can transport hot water to your taps and radiators all by themselves, meaning they don’t require a separate tank in the loft or a cylinder in the airing cupboard to store water. Intergas combi boilers heat water directly from the mains to deliver on-demand hot water and are available in a range of outputs to suit your requirements. The lower output Intergas combi boiler models are ideal for smaller properties with one bathroom and the larger outputs are designed for larger homes with multiple bathrooms and higher hot water demand. If you’re interested in purchasing an Intergas combi, you’ll be looking at spending between £630 and £1,400.

The Intergas combi boiler range includes the following models and output options:

Intergas System Range – Requires a Separate Cylinder

System boilers work alongside a cylinder, which is needed to store your hot water. Intergas system boilers are good for homes that have high hot water demand and properties that use more than one shower or bath at the same time. They do, however, require more space than combi boilers as they need to be installed with a separate cylinder, usually sited in the airing cupboard. System boilers from Intergas are available in a variety of heat outputs and typically cost between £830 and £1,105, depending on which size you need.

The following table shows the Intergas system boilers that are currently available:

Intergas Regular Range – A Replacement for Open Vent Boilers

Regular boilers are also referred to as conventional or heat only boilers and they require an additional tank in the loft and a separate cylinder to store hot water. This means that a regular boiler won’t be the best option if you have a small home with limited space. Intergas regular boilers are suitable for homes with a traditional system in place and properties with an existing open vent boiler. The higher your hot water demand, the higher the kW output (size) of boiler you’ll need. Unsure about which boiler you should choose? Don’t be afraid to ask a local Gas Safe registered to advise you on the best type and size for your home and requirements. If you decide to get an Intergas regular boiler, it will cost you anything from £800 to £950.

Why Choose Intergas?

Intergas offers a great range of combi, system and regular boilers that operate at a high level of efficiency and come complete with an impressive heat exchanger. According to Intergas, its two-in-one heat exchanger has never had a single mechanical failure, which means one of these boilers shouldn’t let you down. Plus, these boilers contain very few working parts which further reduces the risk of breakdowns. What’s more, Intergas Heating has an ‘Excellent’ rating on Trustpilot, proving that homeowners are thrilled with not just their boilers but also the service they received from the brand.

Intergas Boiler Warranty

Some of the boilers on offer from Intergas come with a great 10-year warranty, including the Eco RF Combi and the Xclusive Combi, whereas others are only covered for 3, 6 or 7 years. We probably wouldn’t ever choose a boiler with a short-term warranty as you just never how long it will be before your boiler runs into a problem. With this in mind, we recommend you go for an Intergas boiler with a warranty of 10 years or 7 years at the very least.

Which? Score

According to a Which? reliability and customer satisfaction survey, Intergas is an average boiler brand. It scored 52% overall, and the results tell us that engineers like the simple design of the boilers and the fact they find it easy to fix common faults. However, engineers also said that they have had issues getting their hands on parts and spares. The customer score is only 3 out of 5 stars but the reviews on Trustpilot are worth checking out as the majority are very positive.

Intergas Boiler Quotes

If you’re thinking about getting an Intergas boiler for your home, be sure to contact at least a few local and national installers to get fixed-price quotes that include the cost of the boiler and the installation. Once you receive your quotes, you can then compare prices and find the best deal. As you must only ever allow a Gas Safe registered engineer to fit your gas boiler, you’ll need to do a little research too. You can check whether an engineer is registered and qualified to carry out the work by looking at the details on their ID card or by visiting the Gas Safe Register website.
