The boiler brand’s range includes combi boilers, system boilers and regular boilers with energy efficiency always taking a key role in product development.

Worcester Bosch Combi Range – Reliable & Energy Efficient

With combi boilers now being the most popular type of boiler in the UK (installed in 70% of British homes), a Worcester Bosch combi boiler is a highly efficient, practical hot water and heating solution for your home. Combi boilers provide central heating and hot water without the need for a separate tank to store water and so can be tucked away in cupboards, under stairs or in kitchen cabinets. Combi boilers are especially useful if space is limited, and the Worcester Bosch combi boiler range ensures high energy efficiency and a 5-year guarantee. Prices range from £767 to £2033 with varying sizes and specifications.

We’ve put together a simple table that enables you to compare each Worcester Bosch combi boiler series. Please note the prices listed below do not include installation costs:

Each series in the Worcester Bosch combi range is designed to suit the needs of different homes and lifestyles, such as:

Worcester Bosch Regular Heat Only Range – High Flow Rate, High Demand

Worcester Bosch regular boilers (also known as ‘conventional’ or ‘heat only’ boilers) provide hot water and heating via a boiler, a storage cylinder which is usually housed in an airing cupboard and, water tanks in the loft. Regular heat-only boilers are best suited for larger homes with an existing heat only boiler and are beneficial as more than one tap can be used at a time with no reduction in flow rate. Worcester Bosch regular boiler prices range from £759 – £1847 with varying sizes and outputs.

The Worcester Bosch regular boiler range offers A-rated solutions for homes of all sizes. Regular boiler options include:

Worcester Bosch system boilers provide instant hot water and more than one tap can be used at any one time without a reduction in flow rate. The main drawback to this type of system is that once the water stored in the tank has run out, you have to wait for it to reheat. Worcester Bosch system boilers are energy efficient (like all Worcester Bosch boilers) and come with a 5 year guarantee. Prices range from £824 to £1062 with varying sizes and specifications.

Worcester Bosch Oil Range – Designed for Homes Not Connected to the Gas Network

One of the most common types of heating alternatives for those living off the main gas grid is oil-fired boilers. Even though they use oil instead of gas to heat water, oil boilers are still highly efficient. However, all oil-fired boilers need to be connected to a special outdoor tank that stores the oil, and the oil itself has to be delivered to your home by road. Like Worcester Bosch gas boilers, the brand’s oil boilers have secured Which? Best Buy status and come in different types including combi, system and regular boilers to suit most requirements. Prices vary from £1,300 to £2,750, and each oil boiler in the range is backed by a 2-year warranty as standard.

Some Worcester Bosch oil-fired boilers can be installed indoors, whereas others must be located outside and will include the word ‘External’ in their name. Below, we’ve listed the full range of Worcester Bosch oil-fired combi, system and regular boilers and what size of property they best suit:

Why Choose Worcester Bosch?

When shopping around for a new boiler, it’s always wise to look at the top-rated and most recommended options on the market. If you ask consumers and engineers which brand of boiler they would choose to have in their homes, nine times out of ten you’ll hear the words, ‘Worcester Bosch.’ Why? Well, you’re about to find out.

Worcester Wosch is the UK’s market Leader

Worcester Bosch is one of the UK’s leading domestic heating and hot water manufacturers. Founded in 1962 as a small engineering works, Worcester Bosch has grown into a market leader with a reputation for producing innovative gas and oil-fired boilers that are designed for efficiency, affordability and reliability.

The company has consistently proven their credentials with their flagship Greenstar boiler range which was launched in 2001. Since then the Greenstar range has won several awards including the prestigious CORGI’s Boiler of the Year Award for three consecutive years between 2005 and 2007.

The company’s Greenstar range was also voted “Most Reliable Boiler Brand” Best Boiler Cover and “Most Satisfied Customers” by Which? And featured as the Best Buy boiler for nine straight years. It was only recently toppled by Worcester Bosch’s parent company Vaillant.

Award-Winning Worcester Bosch Greenstar Range

High-efficiency boilers can make such a difference to the way you heat your home and your energy bills year on year. The Worcester Bosch range of Greenstar boilers offer these benefits and many more, which explains why the brand has won Which? Best Buy nine years in a row and CORGI’s Domestic Heating Product of the Year three years running. The Worcester Greenstar range includes gas, oil-fired and LPG boilers, all of which are A-rated and offer excellent efficiency in providing both heating and hot water throughout the home. For the eco-conscious home, a lower carbon footprint will also be a welcome feature.

The Greenstar range also recognises that every home is different by including both wall-mounted and floor-standing models that make installation easy and flexible. Choose from an extensive range of combi boilers that deliver heating and hot water directly from the boiler or regular and system boilers that provide heat to your central heating system and hot water to your water cylinder.

Worcester Bosch Voted Which? Best Buy Nine Years in a Row

Which? is recognised as a trusted consumer magazine that offers unbiased appraisals and expert opinions. As we have seen Worcester Bosch has been a firm favourite amongst their writers down the years.

The latest Which? review published in September 2023, is equally positive. Worcester Bosch boilers received a 5-star rating for reliability from customers, although Which? Only gives them an overall score of 4/5. Still pretty good going but they dropped points because some engineers find them hard to repair, but parts are readily available, often on the same day.

How difficult the boilers are to repair shouldn’t concern customers too much until after the warranty has expired. Engineers do give kudos to the build quality and credit the reliability, Worcester Bosch boilers typically last well over a decade.

Which? also reports that Worcester Bosch rate highly for technical and aftercare support which is lacking across the industry. Ringing in an overall score of 82%, Worcester Bosch has improved on the 74% they received in 2018 and appears to be going from strength to strength.

Worcester Bosch Boiler Problems and Repairs

While Worcester Bosch boilers offer quality and reliability, things can still go wrong now and then. Having said that, most Worcester Bosch fault codes will require the attention of a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. If your boiler is displaying a fault code, our guide to Worcester Bosch Boiler Errors and Fault Codes should help you find out what the code means.

Worcester Bosch Boilers Reviews – What Customers Are Saying

Customer review sites are where the real story lies when it comes to purchasing or researching all manner of products online. That is certainly the case for boilers because of the high volume of people who leave a review. That means new customers today don’t have to rely on the word of an engineer or the manufacturer.

Worcester Bosch has received fantastic reviews from their many, many customers on, Trustpilot. At the time of writing, the company has received just shy of 40,000 reviews and has an impressive 4.6 feedback rating. That is very impressive!

On closer inspection, it’s clear that existing customers say that Worcester Bosch boilers are not the cheapest option on the market, but they were prepared to pay a little extra for reliability — which incidentally is backed by an attractive manufacturer’s guarantee of between 5 and 12 years.

These types of guarantees illustrate how Worcester Bosch boilers deliver a dependable performance, and last for a long time — giving you value for money. Other defining features that were given a mention were how quiet Worcester Bosch boilers are and how quickly they supply hot running water.

By all accounts, the only boiler brand that can rival Worcester Bosch is Vaillant although there are several other brand models on the UK market that are worth looking into namely, Alpha E Tec, Viessmann Vitodens 100-W and Ideal Logic+

Worcest Bosch! Sounds all good till something goes wrong. 40 minute wait to answer the phone and that was warm September. Couldn’t give me s service date till February as not an emergency!

After much haranguing someone called me back with late Nomber ! Oh! and it was 7am till 6 or 7 pm so whole day committed for a 1-hour service. Was going to buy a new boiler off them but wouldn’t touch with a barge pole! What happens in a bad winter? Be warned!

I want to replace our old boiler a Potterton Kingsfisher II. I am living in a extended house with 5 rooms and living room. We have 9 radiators and a large family of 7 (most of the time). What kind of boiler is recommended? A combi boiler or one with an extended water tank?
