What we think of the Potterton Heatmax HE Boilers
This range of three boilers offers three different power ratings and water flow ratings. The smallest of three comes in at 24kW and a maximum flow rate of 9.8 litres a minute. These are Combi boilers, which means that the boiler provides hot water on demand. When you turn the hot water tap on in other words, the boiler instantly activates and heats the water. This is in contrast to the more traditional boilers which send hot water to a storage tank for use by the hot water taps and also sends hot water to the radiators.
Because the Combi doesn’t need a hot water storage tank, nor an associated cold water cistern, or expansion tank, then the system is far more space saving, Hence the rise in popularity of the Combi system.
The other boilers in the range have ratings of 28kW and 33kW, with hot water flow rates of 9.8 litres a minute and 135 litres a minute respectively. Great for smaller properties, the boilers weigh just over 44kg and are designed to be wall mounted.
