What We Think of the Potterton Titanium Combi Boilers
Potterton Titanium Combi
Smart name for a range of boilers, but these do the job asked of them. They come in four ratings and four different hot water flow rates, so can cope with anything from a flat, to a three bedroomed property. The largest one – rated at 40kW output and with a flow rate of 16.1 litres per minute, can cope with a reasonably sized house. The smallest – at 24kW and 9.8 litres of hot water a minute – is ideal for a flat.
The other two models are rated at 28kW and 33kW, with hot water flow rates of 11.5 litres a minute and 13.5 litres a minute respectively. Being Combi boilers, they don’t of course come with all the trappings associated with more traditional boilers, including hot water storage tank, cold water cistern and expansion tank. With a Combi, as soon as you turn on the hot water tap, the boiler lights and provides the hot water.
They weigh in at 43.6kg which is a little heavy for this size of boiler, but can nonetheless be installed into a kitchen cupboard, or other unit. The controls are simple and easy to use.
