If you want to find the perfect green energy heating product for your home, you should definitely take a look at Vaillant’s range of air source heat pumps.

Vaillant aroTHERM Air Source Heat Pump Range

Vaillant has developed a wide range of high-performing air source heat pumps that are among the most economical and eco-friendly heating solutions on the market today. The brand’s heat pumps use free renewable energy from the outside air to heat your home and water, making them a fantastic alternative to your existing gas or oil boiler.

The aroTHERM product line is Vaillant’s second-generation air-to-water heat pump range and has been manufactured with all property types and sizes in mind, from small flats and houses to medium and large detached homes.

Browse the range below to find out more about Vaillant’s aroTHERM air-to-water heat pumps.

Vaillant aroTHERM Air-to-Water Heat Pump

A great option for most kinds of property, the aroTHERM air-to-water heat pump is available in four sizes, including 5kW, 8kW, 11kW and 15kW. This heat pump is compact and suitable for large properties as it can be set up in a cascade system of up to seven units. It has a solid case design with an in-built anti-vandalism measure and a blue fin coated evaporator with anti-hydro coating for better performance and extra protection against corrosion.

Vaillant says it takes between 3 and 5 days to convert your home to use this heat pump system and it will perform at its best if your home is well insulated and has a low heat loss.

Vaillant aroTHERM Plus Air-to-Water Heat Pump

Equipped with the latest heat pump technology, the aroTHERM Plus air-to-water heat pump combines heating and hot water in one single solution. It’s said to be ideal for new builds and renovations as it offers an outstanding water supply when installed with the uniTOWER, a 190 litre cylinder that can provide plenty of hot water for a family of five.

The outdoor aroTHERM Plus unit has compact dimensions and the indoor uniTOWER unit is similar in size to a fridge freezer, so neither requires much space. Whether you choose the 3.5kW, 5kW, 7kW or 12kW model, you can rest assured that your heat pump will run quietly as they have all been accredited with the Quiet Mark.

Vaillant aroTHERM Split Air-to-Water Heat Pump

The aroTHERM Split air-to-water heat pump from Vaillant consists of an indoor wall-mounted unit and a separate outdoor unit, which can be floor-standing or wall-mounted. These units are connected with refrigerant pipework, and the outdoor unit can be installed up to 15 metres away from your home.

This heat pump automatically adjusts power to optimise efficiency and maintain comfort and can be installed in just one day. The aroTHERM Split models available include 3.5kW, 5kW, 7kW, 10kW and 12kW, all of which can all be controlled on the go via your smartphone when installed with a VRC 700 control and a VR 920 gateway.

Why Choose a Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump?

Save Money on Running Costs

All air source heat pumps use renewable energy to generate up to 75% of your home’s heating and hot water needs and, although they use a small amount of electricity to run, they mostly rely on the energy found in the air outside, even when it’s freezing cold. That means a Vaillant air source heat pump provides a greener and more energy-efficient way of heating your home and can help to reduce your energy bills.

Reduce Your Household’s Carbon Footprint

As previously mentioned, a Vaillant air source heat pump transfers energy from the outside air into your home. If you switch from a traditional heating system to an air source heat pump, you can significantly reduce your carbon emissions and therefore cut your household’s carbon footprint and environmental impact.

Receive Payments with the RHI Scheme

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme is a government financial incentive to encourage the use of renewable heat to reduce carbon emissions in the UK. If you get a Vaillant air source heat pump installed and qualify for the scheme, you can receive regular payments based on the amount of renewable heat your system generates. The installation must be carried out by an MCS accredited installer, and how much you can earn depends on the age and size of your property and the heating system you choose. You should know that the RHI closes to new applications in March 2022.

Quiet Mark Approved

Vaillant air source heat pumps have been certified by Quiet Mark, meaning they’re incredibly quiet during operation and can therefore be installed practically anywhere without annoying you or your neighbours. Quiet Mark encourages manufacturers to reduce sound levels in their products and identifies the quietest solutions in a given category to help consumers make informed purchasing decisions.

Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump Reviews

On the Trustpilot site, Vaillant has an ‘Excellent’ rating based on nearly 16,000 reviews. The majority of the reviews on there have been left by customers who purchased a boiler, but you can find plenty of positive air source heat pump reviews on the site too.

Please note that the above Trustpilot score is correct at the time of writing in November 2021.
