Why Choose a Kensa Ground Source Heat Pump?
Cheaper Heating Bills
A ground source heat pump from Kensa uses free energy from the ground surrounding your home. It also uses electricity, so it’s not free to run, but it can deliver 3 or 4kW of renewable energy for every 1kW of electricity it consumes. If you currently have an oil or LPG system and switch to a ground source heat pump, you can expect to save between 30 and 50% on your heating bills.
Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Kensa’s ground source heat pumps can help to lower your carbon footprint as they use renewable energy, making them more environmentally friendly than traditional heating systems. However, they still generate carbon emissions as electricity is used to power them. But if you combine a ground source heat pump with another renewable energy source, such as a wind turbine or solar panels, it won’t produce any carbon emissions at all.
Earn Money with the RHI Scheme
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme was created by the UK government to encourage homeowners to switch to a renewable heating system, like a ground source heat pump. If your system is eligible, you can receive quarterly payments for the amount of renewable heat it produces. As all Kensa ground source heat pumps are MCS approved, they’re eligible for the RHI and you’ll be financially rewarded when you have one installed by an MCS accredited installer.
Easy to Install Inside Your Home
Although ground source heat pumps use heat from outside, the heat pump itself is designed to be installed inside your home. Kensa ground source heat pumps are easy to install and can even be placed in a kitchen cabinet or your airing cupboard.
Little Maintenance and No Annual Servicing Requirement
Unlike traditional boilers, Kensa ground source heat pumps don’t require an annual service because they’re non-combustion heating systems. Also, they require very little maintenance over their 20-year lifetime. That said, it’s best to get an installer to check on your heat pumps performance regularly to ensure it continues to run efficiently.
