What We Think of the Potterton Gold Combi HE A

Three individual boilers line up for attention in this range and each one is a Combi boiler. That means they not only provide heat for the radiators, but they also provide hot water for the taps. As soon as you open the hot water tap, out flows the water at a given rate. This means that the whole system is compact, because you don’t require a cold water cistern, or expansion tank.

The three boilers are rated at 24kW, 28kW and 33kW outputs. The smallest one can handle a hot water flow rate of 9.8 litres a minute; the one in the middle is 11.5 litres a minute and the largest can handle 13.5 litres a minute. They are ideal for a flat, or medium sized house. They can only run on natural gas though, not LPG, so watch that if you are not on the gas grid.

At just over 43 kilos, these boilers are not the lightest out there and they are designed for wall mounting, not within a cupboard.
