What We Think of the Worcester Greenstar CDi Classic

With four heat outputs, this range of hard-working boilers can cater for most properties (from a small to medium sized house). They go from the 29kW unit, right through to 42kW with two medium sized models, 34kW and 38kW. They are Combi boilers, meaning that hot water for the taps is provided on demand and is also sent to the radiators.

The smaller model delivers 12.3 litres of hot water a minute, whilst the larger a significant 17.1 litres. Because these are powerful models, they are ideal for older properties which many not be so well insulated.

Not unsurprisingly with all its power and abilities, these boilers are not the slimmest you’ll find and they weigh nearly 50kg and have a fair-sized case.

However, the boilers are not mean with their controls so the user can make it do most things, especially split the heating and hot water temperature levels.

They can run on LPG, as well as natural gas.

Getting a Competitive Boiler Quote

Had the 38CDi installed May 13. It’s outstanding. Endless hot water on demand, which I was concerned about having never had a combi before, totally unfounded. Manages 12 radiators with ease. Uses 35% less gas then previous boiler. Only seen the engineer during the annual service, which is only about £35/£40. Reading other reviews, pleased to say we have a conventional programmer. Estimate with 7yr guarantee, (fitted by Bosch approved engineer), reduced gas bills, minimal servicing costs and no longer having to buy a B/Gas Plan, this will pay for itself before the warranty expires….

Have not had much time on the boiler itself but seems OK.

But as above comments by Stephen Yates, I bought the wave wi fi programmer.

It is indeed the most user Unfriendly device I have ever come across.

It is utter CRAP. For gods sake get it redesigned and make it easier to understand and use.

Boiler is wonderful in every way, have seen the gas consumption drop dramatically.

The wiFi programmer however is another matter, it’s the worst device I’ve ever come across in terms of being user friendly, practical and fit for purpose.

It’s clearly not been thought out or thoroughly tested on Joe public that’s going to have to use it…

Even my plumber can’t explain it or use it confidently.

Send the team who devised it’s functionality and program and back to basics.
